My father Mike Buckholt unexpectedly passed away l

My father Mike Buckholt unexpectedly passed away last week, he was a huge influence on me, and the reason we started BMS over 20 years ago. A truly talented old-school engineer who worked at the original Pattisson golf products co in the 1990s, I was privileged to have spent my teenage years with him building motorcycles & fixing cars.

Dad had a great sense of humour that I am sure many will remember him for. From mechanical engineering, CAD design, welding, machining to electrics and hydraulics the two of us single-handedly produced everything we sold in the early years at BMS. His practical foundations gave me the confidence to set up our company.

My two daughters now work in the business alongside our team of around 20, in a different & modern way they are exceptional, their ability to handle customers and clients double their age with confidence makes me very proud. They are the next generation and will excel in whatever they do going forward. They are presently in the middle of handling our company relocation project from the North of London to Devon. With 15 trucks still to go you can imagine it's a pretty tough time for them, but they are getting on with it as they are tough like their Grandpa. With around 10 staff relocating with us, we believe this proves how strong our team is and how we value the people we have, they are like family and treated as such.

Running a family business is hard enough, when someone you loved disappears forever, it certainly puts things into perspective. Work hard, play harder, and look after the ones you love!
