How It Works

• Find a flat, level area on the green, approximately 10 feet square.
• Place a ball in the notch on the Stimpmeter.
• Slowly raise the notched end until gravity releases the ball onto the green.
• Measure the distance the ball rolls.
• Repeat the process three times in one direction and take the average.
• Repeat the process three times in the opposite direction and take the average.
• The final green speed is the average of the two directional measurements.
